A little word on the people who've helped us. The IWK Children's Hospital in Halifax, Nova Scotia began my daughter's treatment and gave us a smooth transfer to the Montreal Children's Hospital. The oncology department was phenomenal and personal to the end. I never experienced anything like that. I also gave birth there, so it wasn't my only experience, and they were so kind. If you feel like giving a donation to a worthy cause, to support the IWK is certainly worth while.
IWK: Ways to Give
As well, it was very hard leaving the family feeling the IWK gave us, the Montreal's Children Hospital gave us a bit of a shock, but considering that they deal with a much larger population they too are doing a phenomenal job, doing their personal best to give as much as they can to help so many, many children living with cancer and diseases of the blood. They have been very kind and very giving. They are also working on a new hospital to improve their care. And with such a large population, they really need the help to keep up and to continue to give a personal touch, for the current hospital and the new one. They are another worthy cause: Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation
